Roots Educate is a social-emotional learning (SEL) ecosystem focused on nurturing emotionally intelligent, empathetic, and resilient children through research-backed curriculum, games, and family learning products. Founded in 2021, the company began by teaching a draft SEL curriculum online during the COVID-19 pandemic to support children’s emotional wellbeing during a period of uncertainty and isolation. Over the past three years, Roots Educate has delivered SEL programs across multiple schools including Delhi Public School, Manav Rachna Educational Institutions, and Excellere World School. The company has conducted sessions on a wide range of social-emotional and character-building topics including empathy, confidence, public speaking, honesty, humor, humility, teamwork, decision-making, conflict resolution, perseverance, communication, gratitude, and emotional awareness, helping children build essential life skills beyond academics. As part of its experiential learning approach, Roots Educate has also developed six SEL-based games centered around empathy, confidence, decision-making, kindness, appreciation, and patience, helping children engage with emotional and social learning in a practical and interactive manner. Roots Educate is now building a comprehensive grade-wise digital SEL curriculum designed to be implemented year-round in schools and supplemented with interactive workbooks and activities. The curriculum is being developed with a strong focus on scalability, standardization, and long-term impact, and the company plans to secure copyright protection for its original content and learning frameworks. Backed by CASEL principles, Roots Educate aims to bridge the gap between academic achievement and emotional wellbeing by creating engaging, age-appropriate SEL experiences for both schools and families. The founder has completed a certification in Social Emotional and Character Development from Rutgers University, further strengthening the company’s research-driven and child-centric approach. In addition to school partnerships, the company plans to expand through both B2B and B2C channels by offering SEL products, games, and learning tools directly to schools, parents, and families. By combining curriculum, experiential learning tools, and family-focused engagement, Roots Educate aims to build a scalable SEL ecosystem that can be adopted by schools across India and globally, making emotional wellbeing and character development an integral part of every child’s education journey.
