List of Incubator & Center of Excellence
The State Government has initiated some measures to enhance the start-up ecosystem in Haryana. An innovation hub in Gurugram covering an area of 30,000 square feet has been set up.HARTRON Multi Skill Development Centre (HMSDC), Gurugram is incubating Startups with Industrial partners.
- A world-class shared infrastructure for 200 Start-ups has been established for technology start-ups to operate till they achieve self-sufficiency.
- Facilities like Conference room with Video conferencing, Event room, common sitting space and other facilities are also being offered to the Start-ups in the Hub.
- The Hub is acting as a one-stop shop for all app-related requirements where Start-ups, entrepreneurs and developers can incubate, train, test and design their Apps in a collaborative approach.
An IoTcenter has been setup in collaboration with NASSCOM and ERNET, the aim is to provide platform for Design, prototype to realizing product by harnessing creative capability of Academia, Industry, start-ups and entrepreneurshttp://www.coe-iot.com/gurugram/ http://10000startups.com/
Mobile Application Centre has been setup in collaboration with IAMAI. United Nations Technology Innovation Labs (UNTIL) has been developed in collaboration with United Nations to promote the women entrepreneurship & digital literacy in the state and to find globally acceptable solutions to achieve sustainable development goals.
The government of Haryana have identified four core thematic areas, where the UNTIL Haryana lab technology projects will focus on:
- Gender Equality
- Good Health and Well-being
- Sustainable Cities and Communities
- Quality Education.
Government of Haryana has established STARTUP INCUBATOR CUM CENTER OF EXCELLENCE in Government PG College, Panchkula. This centre is undertaking all activities for building and promoting entrepreneurship, running various entrepreneurial events, providing mentoring and guidance, networking building and also courses covering topics like Sales for Startups , HR , Branding , Funding, Legal and How to Setup a new startup, in addition to all this handholding to all the aspiring student entrepreneurs of Higher Education Haryana.
Haryana State Electronic Development Corporation Limited (HARTRON) has introduced a start-up warehouse on 10,000 Sq. ft. of land in Gurugram in association with NASSCOM. The Startup warehouse offers shared office space to startups and entrepreneurs in a plug and play format which includes physical space, meeting space, operational facilities including 24*7 & 100% power backup, Leased internet line, Clean drinking water, Air-conditioning etc., common facilities including Lecture room, classrooms, rooms for administrative activities of the Warehouse, fully equipped labs, Cafeteria, Reception/ waiting area etc. The warehouse would offer other services such as mentorship, training, legal, regulatory etc.
Upcoming Incubation Centres in State Universities
The Incubation centres in Universities have been aimed to bring academia on-board benefit to promote the start-up eco system in general and students/ faculty of the respective Universities in particular for creating future ready human resources. Four universities have been shortlisted for setting up incubation facilities in them.
